No Bakes

Posted by The No Wonder Mom at 4:16 PM
One of our favorite holiday treats is my mom's no bake cookies.  Let me preface by giving the disclaimer that these are full of sugar so I am not to be held responsible for turning the younger members of your entourage into crazy little boogers, nor am I to be held responsible for adding to your muffin top.  With that said, here ya go!

Prep Time: 5 to 10 minutes
Cook Time:  15 minutes

Ingredients:
3 Cups oats
1/2 Cup peanut butter
2 Cups sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 Tablespoons cocoa
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 Cup butter
1/2 Cup milk

Directions:
Put oats, peanut butter, vanilla, and cocoa into large mixing bowl and set aside.  Lay wax paper on counter top to prepare for cookies.  Mix sugar, salt, butter, and milk in a pot on the stove top and slowly bring to a boil, stirring constantly.  Once it comes to a rolling boil, continue stirring and boiling for 1 minute.  Immediately remove from heat and pour into mixing bowl with the other ingredients and stir until all ingredients are mixed together.  Scoop out of the bowl, onto the wax paper with a large spoon.  Let cookies cool and set, approximately 30 minutes.  Enjoy!
